Long time no blog. I know, I know, but I’m having such a hard time trying to find the time to fit it all in. I have so much content to share, but by the time I have a free moment to sit down and write, I’m exhausted. I plan to get a recap post out this week and fill you all in on everything! Now that Bugs is down for a nap, I’m leaving the laundry unfolded and bottles in the sink, and I’m sharing some photos from our fun farm trips this past week! The weather has been gorgeous here, so we’ve fast-forwarded to the Fall activities! On Thursday, I picked up my mom and headed down the road to the Windy Hill Orchard & Cider Mill. This is a yearly tradition for us. We ordered the apple cider donuts and a jug of apple cider. The morning weather was stunning. On the weekends, they offer hard cider flights, which are so good!
The next stop was Bush n Vine.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, then you’re probably familiar with this spot. It’s one of my favorites, and we’ll be going here again to pick up our pumpkins! They now have a cafe with the most delicious quesadillas and soft-served ice cream I’ve ever had!
We had some soft served chocolate twist ice cream, coffee, a chicken quesadilla, and bought some blueberry donuts to bring home. On the way back, we stopped by to see my dad! Bugs LOVED the mower ♥️ On Sunday, we headed to Wise Acres Farm! We plan to go back again this fall because it was so much fun, and the pizza was AMAZING! We took so many photos of Bugs in the pumpkin patch. He kept trying to eat the pumpkin vines.
One of my FAVORITE parts was the flower fields. I couldn’t get enough. I want to do this behind my house, but the deer ate all my wildflowers in the back this year.
Bugs was fascinated by the tractor.
My boys! ♥️ I love that this farm is filled with activities and swings everywhere! Wise Acres is a reservation only, which is great because you don’t have to worry about trying to find parking in an overcrowded spot. With the reservation, you have the opportunity to purchase pizza, which I highly recommend!
We sat in the shade at a picnic table and enjoyed a few slices of pizza. It was seriously so so so good. The brick oven is my favorite.
They also have a big shop with local products, extra snacks, and drinks!
We have a few more farm visits planned, and I’m excited!
Thanks for stopping by to check out the photos! I hope you all have a fantastic week! I’ll try my best to pop on here again this week.
Questions for you!
- What’s your favorite part about visiting a farm?
- Do you have a local farm you love visiting?
- Which season is your favorite?

Love all of these beautiful photos, Taralynn! Your little guy is adorable, and I bet he had such a fun time on this trip. Those donuts look amazing, and all of these pictures make me want to go visit a local farm. They have pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and all sorts of food trucks.
I totally understand not having as much time to share on the blog, and I’m sure everyone else does too! Always excited to see your new posts when they pop up though! 🙂
