It’s been a minute since sharing more of the wedding blogs. I have a few more to go, but I thought it would be fun to share some photos from my camera roll from the wedding day morning. My goal is to get the rest of these blogs up by the end of the year, or atleast by the end of January.
No one wants to wake up sick on their wedding day, but unfortunately, I was not feeling that well, and neither was Leo. I took him out around 6 am to get some fresh air. One of the most beautiful things about the Greystone Inn is the sunrises. We sat on the dock together, watching the sunrise and getting so excited about the day. We both had some stomach thing going on, but luckily it got better as the day went on. I know I’m not supposed to eat scallops because they sometimes make me sick, but stupidly I ate them at the rehearsal dinner (they just looked so good!)
I was also a little nervous because of the rainy forecast. We made a last-minute decision to move the wedding dinner under a tent, and thank goodness we did because the rain was in and out all day.
The best man and the bride ♥️
I spent some time with Kyle in the morning before he went off to spend the rest of the day with his dad. I was so excited that I’d be in my wedding dress the next time I got to see him! The dress I had been hiding for nine months in the back closet!
I felt so bad for Leo being sick and still a little down about Grumples, but it was important to have him there with us on our wedding day. The rest of the morning was super relaxing. I spent the day with my mom getting our dresses, accessories, and everything ready for the ceremony. She also busted her butt along with our amazing photographer to set up the dinner table. Since I decided to design the table, I did a quick trial run with my mom at my house to know what it would look like. She made it even better than I could imagine! I’ll share so many photos of the table setting in another wedding blog.
I loved seeing the sun rays shine through the big windows in our room. It eased up my anxiety about the weather, and I decided just to let it be. Kyle had breakfast with his family that morning and brought back some oatmeal and fresh fruit for me. I drew a hot bubble bath to relax while having my oats and coffee. Whenever I’m feeling sick, baths help tremendously! The best way to relax on a wedding day! If you can, I highly suggest scheduling a bubble bath on your wedding morning.
The Greystone Inn in Lake Toxaway was the perfect wedding getaway for the family! It had so many activities to do, and you didn’t have to worry about entertaining your guests. There’s paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, swimming, horseback riding, boat rentals, golf, tennis, pickleball, games, restaurant, bar, and more! Kyle and I had vacationed there a few times (I still need to get those travel blogs up!) It’s stunning all year long.

The Rockefeller Suite, where we stayed!
The bouquet arrived ♥️
I can’t wait to share the following blog with getting ready + first look (with my dad!) photos.
Questions for you!?
- Are you currently planning a wedding?
- What was one thing you did on your wedding day that helped you relax?
- How many people did you invite to your wedding?

What a perfect wedding morning! Since Covid forced us to get married at my parents instead of the beach, (anniversary was yesterday!), having everything set up the night before made it so relaxing the day of for me! Just ended up sleeping in and enjoying the company that was at our house!
Including us, it ended up being 17! Honestly pre covid, we would have still planned going to the beach, with only a few more people. We knew we wanted it to be small!

Who took the photo of your in the window and in the bath and wondering if your film camera has a timer on it (that would be so clutch when not having another person on hand)
Lovely pictures!

Your photos are beautiful! 🙂 I just got married on Saturday! All of the planning and preparation was totally worth it!! The morning of our wedding, I spent time with my bridesmaids and my mom getting our hair and makeup done. We invited just over 120 guests but had about 90 people come!

Awww congrats, Audrey!!

I love your photographers style, beautiful wedding!
We got married April 3rd this year! I had one of my bridesmaids stay the night with me the night before and the next morning, we ordered room service breakfast, laid in bed and watched Say Yes to The Dress! It was really sweet to have that time with one of my oldest friends. Once we were all getting ready at the venue, I handed my phone off to my MOH to field texts so I could TRULY check out and enjoy my day. I was so calm and collected… my Mom said she’s never seen me so relaxed!
We invited 180 and had 165 come. Congratulations to you! ♥️
