Good morning, and happy Monday!
I am feeling so incredibly grateful and lucky to have such sweet friends. I wasn’t planning on having a baby shower since most of my family live throughout the U.S., and I wanted them to save the trip for when the baby arrives. Some of my close girlfriends wouldn’t let me off the hook and decided to throw me the sweetest baby shower lunch. These girls you’ve seen pop up in my blogs throughout the years, whether traveling to Hawaii, running a half marathon, having a wine night in the living room, driving the coast of California together, or eating our way through Disney World. We’ve been through a lot together! I cherish our friendships, and it truly made me feel so loved when I walked through the doors on Saturday afternoon. I wanted to cry! Sometimes, when you’re pregnant, it’s hard to be a good friend and show up for the people in your life because you’re either sick, feeling moody, uncomfortable, or tired half of the time. My girls have been so understanding and have never made me feel bad about staying home.
I wanted to share some photos and special moments on the blog today!
The amount of time and detail that went into this baby shower blew me away. Although, I’m not surprised. If I ever needed to hire a group of girls for a last-minute event, they’d throw something extravagant together within an hour. I thought we were going to have some lunch together, so when I walked into Emily’s house and saw these gorgeous green (the colors of our nursery) balloon arch, I about fell over! They nailed the green team theme!
Caitlin had her sister, a local baker in Fort Mill, create gorgeous cookies, macaroons, and a stunning cake to celebrate. If you live in Charlotte or the Fort Mill area, you need to check her out! I had her make our cookies and macaroons for our wedding, and they were stunning! Everything she made was a dream!

I had a lot of questions about my dress on Instagram. I ended up buying this dress last minute at the Express Outlet. It’s so stretchy and comfortable, perfect for maternity or even postpartum. I plan to go back this week and pick up a few other colors because I want to live in this dress! Being comfortable in your third trimester is already challenging, so when you find something that feels good, you get a ton of them! I purchased the softest long ribbed cardigan to wear over the top since it was pretty cold on Saturday, and I loved how cozy and comfortable I was. I found these super comfortable flats at Saks Off 5th!
They say dogs know when you’re pregnant, and Emily’s dog was very interested in my belly!
We had so much fun playing games, opening gifts, and eating all the desserts!
Look how stunning this setup was! Caitlin made me a grapefruit maternity mimosa, and now all I want is grapefruit juice! It was delicious 😊 
A HUGE thank you to these girls for making my day so darn special. It’s crazy how life is flying by. Friends are getting married, having babies, building houses, and moving across the country, yet we all get together to celebrate these special moments. I feel so lucky to have them in my life.

I had a baby shower with like 40 people – we knew we were having a girl so it was pink everything!
Believe it or not, third trimester I felt fantastic (however, I was still throwing up everyday). I think most women get in “Nesting” mode 3rd trimester, and I had more energy then, than I have had in my entire life lol. I keep telling my husband because we want #2 soon, that I wish I could just go straight to the 3rd trimester! Lol
I think you are having a girl 🙂 your belly is pretty high up and your track record of not feeling well all point to a girl!

Thank you so much 😊 I definitely started feeling SO energetic from 22 weeks to 29 weeks. I feel myself slowing down a bit, mostly due to pain. BUT I’d take 3rd trimester over 1st trimester any day!!!
It’s crazy. I was carrying SO LOW the first six months but just recently my bump has gotten higher! We shall see!!
I had a baby shower. We knew we were having a boy so the theme was woodland creatures. It was perfect! Third trimester was very tough. Little man put a TON of pressure on my bladder. So I felt like I had to use the bathroom every 5 mins. I’m actually glad to not be pregnant anymore, and that my little man is here❤️

I know I’ll be feeling that way soon 😂 between the bladder, rib and back pain, I’m about done! haha

I did. I have a huge family so pretty big. However I love the simply and personal ones like you had.
I did team green but had a strong inkling it was a boy and tuition was spot on.
My third trimester developed shingles. Miserable about a week. My husband is good at pampering so rest of tri simester lovely.
I can only say you are carrying baby high and for my second child I carried high and was a girl. So my guess is a girl.

Such a sweet and beautiful shower! I, unfortunately, had to cancel my baby shower because it was the height of Covid when everything was still shut down. My theme was gonna be a Starbucks theme “A baby is brewing”. Fortunately, my co-workers were still able to throw me a mini shower which was so sweet of them 🙂

Did you have a baby shower?
I had a book themed baby shower for my first born. Since I had my second baby exactly 2.5 years later (both team green), we already had everything we needed, so we skipped a second shower.
Were you team green, or did you find out the gender?
We were team green for both babies! It drove my family nuts, but we preferred to be surprised in the delivery room!
How did you feel in your third trimester?
For my daughter, I felt great! I would have been pregnant a million more times….for my son, it was a nightmare haha. He made me so so sick. He will definitely be my last baby!

What a beautiful baby shower. You have such lovely friends and you looked so lovely.
1. I had a baby shower for my first but not my second. My friends threw me one and it was so perfect. They did it Bambi themed and it was adorable.
2. I found out the gender both times. I was too impatient to wait. We have two beautiful little girls, one has just turned 2 and the other is 6 months old.
3. My third trimesters I felt quite rough. I had lots of pelvic pressure and felt very nauseous. I suffered with sickness all throughout both my pregnancies. I also had bad heartburn in the third trimesters both times. I loved feeling the kicks so strongly and counting down to meet them both though. It was hard but very exciting at the same time.
4. I think you’re having a boy. I have no reason for thinking that other than that’s what I can imagine you with based on reading your blogs.
